Pre-Sleep
Writing Cards

Three prompts to complete each evening β€” 5 minutes total. The goal is not insight. It is relief. Write until something in you eases, then stop and rest.

How to use this: Begin these prompts on Day 4 of your protocol (after 3 nights of audio only). Write in your journal β€” not here. These cards are your guide. You do not need to fill every line. You need to feel something shift.
Your Nightly Three Prompts
Use all three in order, every night. The sequence matters β€” Release clears, Receive opens, Surrender settles.
1
Prompt One
Release
"One thing I am putting down tonight, and will not pick up again until morning, is…"
Write until the sentence feels true. It can be a person, a worry, a conversation, a task, a feeling. If nothing comes, write the word "rest" until something does.
2
Prompt Two
Receive
"One thing I received today β€” even in the difficulty β€” was…"
It can be small. Safety. A breath. A moment of quiet. The fact that you're still here. Grace does not need to be grand to be grace.
3
Prompt Three
Surrender
"God, I am giving you __________ tonight. I trust you with it."
Adapt this to your own faith language if needed. The act of naming what you're releasing matters more than the exact words. Say it like you mean it β€” even if you don't feel it yet.
Alternate Prompts β€” When You Need a Different Entry Point
  • What would I tell a friend who was carrying what I carried today?
  • What part of today am I still holding in my body right now?
  • If I gave myself full permission to rest tonight, what would I need to let go of first?
  • What do I wish someone had said to me today?
  • What is one thing that happened today that I don't need to figure out tonight?

"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds."
